NOX says charging is live for residents of over 1,000 Melbourne apartments

Four communities already have resident charging, with two more developments planned to bring coverage to nearly 1,900 homes.

NOX Energy said on October 22 that EV charging is now available to residents in more than 1,000 apartments across four Melbourne communities in Kensington and Brunswick. The announcement concerns shared charging within residential developments. [1]

The company also announced an appointment to provide charging for housing company Assemble at two new developments in Footscray and Coburg, covering more than 800 additional homes. NOX says those additions would bring its Melbourne footprint to six communities and nearly 1,900 homes. [1]

The installation combines NOX's Intelligent Power Sockets with MSI 7 kW Eco series chargers, managed through NOX's platform and app. The reported totals count homes within developments; the release does not give an individual charger-port count or charging prices. [1]

Charging at the two new developments is planned to become available as the buildings open. The release gives no fixed opening dates, so the nearly 1,900-home figure includes future provision alongside the four communities already operating. [1]
