Mitsubishi announces $37,745 Eclipse Sportback EV, with U.S. launch planned for October
Mitsubishi lists a 75 kWh battery, up to 282 miles of range and NACS fast charging, with the announced starting price excluding destination.
Mitsubishi announced U.S. pricing for the 2027 Eclipse Sportback electric vehicle on October 6. The company says sales will start in October, but its announcement does not give an exact first-delivery date. [1]
The $37,745 starting MSRP excludes a $1,995 destination fee, bringing the total to $39,740 before taxes, other fees and options. Destination costs $2,120 in Alaska and Hawaii. Dealers set final selling prices. Mitsubishi also lists an optional $2,600 Technology Package. [1] [2]
Mitsubishi specifies a 75 kWh lithium-ion battery. Its product page lists an EPA-estimated range of up to 282 miles and cautions that actual range varies with equipment, driving habits and conditions. [1] [2]
For charging, the announcement specifies J1772 for Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging, and NACS for DC fast charging. That distinguishes the car's home-charging connection from its fast-charging connection. [1]
